Admission Requirements

Prime University has inclusive admission policies that consider candidates regardless of nationality, race, gender, physical ability, religious, or political affiliations. Admission into undergraduate programs involves two modes: UTME and Direct Entry.

UTME Mode:

  1. Possession of Senior Secondary School Certificate with at least five credit passes in relevant subjects.
  2. Attainment of a minimum score of 200 points in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by JAMB.

Direct Entry:

In addition to UTME requirements:

  1. Minimum of two ‘A’ level passes, NCE, OND with a credit level pass, or a first degree with Lower Division of Second Class in a relevant field.
  2. ‘O’ level credit in English Language and Mathematics is compulsory.
  3. Direct entry candidates considered after two years of academic activities at Prime University.
  4. All candidates go through a screening exercise conducted by the university.

Remedial Admissions:

A year-round program for secondary school graduates aiming to address deficiencies in national exams. Candidates with credits in at least four subjects can apply. The program is residential but open to day students.

Transfer from Other Universities:

Candidates must meet UTME or Direct Entry requirements, submit a transcript, and have a clean academic and character record. Recommendations from the department and faculty are required for University Senate approval.

Admission Process:

Prospective candidates can apply online or download the form from the university website. Physical submissions accepted at university campuses or partner schools in the Federal Capital Territory. Relevant documents, including NECO, WAEC, JAMB, and NABTEB results, are required. Foreign applicants who attended secondary school abroad do not need JAMB results. After completing the form, online applicants should scan and attach documents before submission.
