The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede is a federal government-owned higher institution located in Nekede, a town in Imo State, South-Eastern Nigeria. The establishment of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, was stimulated by the need for trained manpower in science, engineering and technology to promote sustainable industrial and economic development in the country.
Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State has been official accredited and/or recognized by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Nigeria.

GENERAL MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Interested candidates with one of the following qualifications may be considered for admission into ND Programme:
A) Must possess either a SSC/WBSC stage II, a NABTEC or NECO with a minimum of five (5) credits in five subjects relevant to the programme obtained at not more than two sittings.
B) A pass at the final examination of the pre-ND of The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri.
So with the above, candidate is eligible for application into the polytechnic.
